The Tokyo Experience

When you’re living and interning in a new country, immersed in a new culture and language, the presence of a strong support network is vital to your experience. Public transportation

We provide you with a topped-up transport card with the cost of your first month’s commute, allowing you to navigate Tokyo’s public transport without worrying about cost. With your first month’s commute to your internship covered, you can focus on settling into your internship in Tokyo.

Language study

We provide optional language classes for applicants looking to improve their Japanese language skills.

Japan is the world’s third largest economy and the second most developed in the world. Japanese is a gateway to other Asian markets and languages and those who speak it will have access to limitless opportunities.

We partner with a leading Japanese language school in Tokyo. They offer evening and private Japanese courses for all language learners, with a focus on laying a solid foundation on the pronunciation and tones.

Book your language course with The Intern Group and let us get everything arranged for when you arrive.

  1. Evening lessons

Evening courses run for a total of 20 hours. The curriculums are based around familiar scenes that you will be able to use from the next day. The lessons are conducted in small groups, which enables you to have plenty of interaction with your teacher.

  2. Private lessons

Private lessons are one-on-one with your teacher. Semi-private lessons are small sized group lessons. Lessons cover various proficiency levels, from elementary level for students who have just arrived in Japan, to advance level for those wanting to practice technical terms as a business person. All teachers are skilled professionals in Japanese teaching and have a knowledgeable command of business. The schedule for private lessons is more flexible. You can choose the curriculum, day, time and place.

All options are available at all times of the year. If this is something that interests you, let us know.
